A healthier way to make gravy this season
By Joanne Stevens
Here’s a simple and delicious tip for making a healthy turkey gravy that’s starch and gluten free. Lay several peeled carrots, celery stalks and onions peeled and quartered on the bottom of the roast pan. Completely cover the bottom. Place the turkey on top of the vegetables and roast as usual. Remove cooked turkey from the pan and skim off most of the fat. Place the roasted vegetables along with pan juices in a blender and purée. You may add bone broth to thin it out if necessary.
It’s delicious and gluten free.
