Banana Cardamom Teething Biscuits
- 1/3 cup organic mixed grain baby cereal
- 1 cup organic whole wheat flour or spelt flour
- 2 tbsp. coconut oil
- 1 mashed banana
- 1 tsp. cardamom or cinnamon
- 4 tbsp. reserved beet cooking water for colour and vitamins
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Mix everything together adding more beet water if necessary. Roll out dough onto a floured surface. Cut into easy-to-hold shapes for baby. Place on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 15 to 20 minutes.
Let cool completely. Store in an airtight container. These can also be stored in the freezer. Makes approximately a dozen cookies depending on thickness and size. Supervise the child closely while eating these; they should get soggy but they will likely bite off big chunks.
